Project Description

In January, Donnelly Construction began work on a “ground-up” building of a new golf training facility for The First Tee Plainfield, one of the tri-state area locations of the First Tee of Metropolitan New York. Located at Plainfield West Nine Golf Club (http://www.thefirstteemetny.org/plainfield) in Edison, NJ, The First Tee Plainfield was the first of its kind to be established in a private country club. The new training facility, designed by Rogers McCagg (http://rm-arch.com/), was completed in 3 months and opened up right on time for the Summer. The First Tee of Metropolitan New York’s mission is “to “impact the lives of young people by providing educational programs that build character, instill life-enhancing values and promote healthy choices through the game of golf, with a focus of serving minority and under-privileged youth.” To learn more about the organization, visit http://www.thefirstteemetny.org/.
